Just a few words to finish this baptism record. Can someone help me, please?

    Hello @Martha Murray,

1st gap: die Eltern sind = the parents are.

    2nd gap: jun: = junior

    3rd gap: Taufpathe(n) = baptismal sponsors; godparents.

4th gap: this is the pastor's signature; at the end of the signature is the abbreviation Pfr. = Pfarrer = pastor.

Comments: The father is a Maurer (mason) not a Maurermeister.

Re: "Junior" = the younger of two men in this place with the same name. It doesn't automatically mean that the man identified with "junior" is named after his father.

    Hi Robert

That is the first time I had run across junior... usually it's younger or older. I thought it might be an abbreviation for jünger.

Thank you for pointing that out as I want to be correct as possible.

I knew that was the pastor's signature, but I just can't read it.

    Hi Martha,

I decided it was "junior" because there was no umlaut on the "u" in the abbreviation "jun". The abbreviation for "jünger" would be: "jün". In either case, whether "jünger" or "junior", they both mean the same thing: younger.

I am unable to decipher the pastor's name.
