Village, houses, & poorhouse question
I have a question about my ancestors' residences. Sissela Persdotter lived in No. 3 Sodra Hultarp No.3, Hallaröd parish, and her son Ola P. Frid and his family also lived in Sodra Hultarp No.3.
Sissela has lived there since 1842, with her husband. She became a widow in 1871, and continued to live there. Ola her son grew up there, moved out and became a husar and lived in Konga, then Ask parishes. When he marries, he moved to Sodra Hultarp No.3.
But they are not listed as if in the same household, they are on different pages:
In 1871 - 1876 Sissela is on page 91 and Ola is on page 92. Hallaröd (M) AI:11 (1871-1876).
In 1877 - 1885 Sissela is on page 120 and Ola is on page 122. Hallaröd (M) AI:12 (1877-1885).
>>> Is Sodra Hultarp No.3 one big house, or several houses that have one address? Or is Sodra Hultarp No.3 the equivalent of a block or section of the village? <<<
In 1878 Sissela moved to the Fatig Huset (pg 44).
>>>I wonder why she didn't move in with her son, who was right there nearby? <<<
Is this something that I don't understand about the time and place and way of things; or is my guess as good as anyone's? (Like maybe the daughter-in-law didn't like her, or maybe everyone in her son's family was too busy working to take care of her, or maybe she had had a stroke and there was nursing care at the fatighuset . . . . ? )
Thank you in advance for explaining these two questions!
Here are links to the two records:
