Need help with translation please
For: Maria Francisca baptized on August 23 to Maria Vilt…
Also a question…would the names Ferencz ? and Franciscus be considered the same first name?
I know Maria Vilt was married to a Franciscus Herczegh. I’m trying to confirm if Maria Vilt was married to a Ferenz Herczegh before Franciscus Herczegh.

I found two archaic meanings of the word szabados: freed serf, or a military rank (őrvezető, literally "guard leader") that the dictionary translates as "lance corporal" or "private first class". (Modernly, szabados means "libertine", but that's clearly not how it's being used in this register.) Given the date and the rest of the entries on the page (which mostly have nemt[elen] "non-noble" for the status), I'm pretty sure that it's the "freed serf" meaning that applies.

Ferenc(z) and Franciscus are the same name in different languages: the former is Hungarian, the latter is Latin. Herczeg Ferencz and Franciscus Herczeg are the same man.
There was a brief period in the 1840s when even some Catholic registers switched to Hungarian. It ended with the defeat of the revolution, when Lutherans went back to German and Catholics went back to Latin. (Calvinists stayed Hungarian, though.)
The language of the register determines the form that names take, because it was standard practice to always translate the given names. (In a German record, our friend Mr. Herczeg would've been Franz, and if he ever traveled to an English-speaking country, he would've been Frank or Francis.)
