Catasto Onciario - Help interpreting information
Hello everyone,
I recently came across a catasto onciario record for the village of Paola in Cosenza and I am trying to make sure I am reading this correctly. I am attaching the file and the URL is below. My main questions are:
- Is Allegrizza Cosco, age 60, the mother of the head of this household?
- On the part that starts with "Abbitta in casa di..." does that mean they rent from the person listed there, Giuseppe Storino? There is an abbreviation right before his name that I am having trouble with.
I appreciate any help you can provide.

Since the image cannot be posted (I was unaware of that, my apologies) here is what I have regarding the people in the household. My main question is really whether I should interpret that Allegrizza is Francesco's mother.
"Francesco Cupolillo bracciale ---- an 37
Felice Scovino Moglie --- an 27
Gius.e figlio bracciale -- an 14
Simone fig. --- an 7
Maria Teresa figlia --- an 3
Isabella figlia --- an 1
Nicola fratto bracciale --- an 29
Maddalena Perrotta Moglie --- an 28
Rosa figlia --- an 1
Allegrizza Costo Mad.e -- - an 60"
TIA,
Suzana

It seems this thread was undeleted. To answer your second question, yes, they were renting from the guy named there. That's confirmed in the following line.

Thank you. This part has tripped me because at first I thought the abbreviated word in front of his name stood for suòcero but that would not make sense as his surname is Storino, and the HOH's wife's last name is Scovino. The name Scovino also appears right below, those are clearly not the same name. I am still curious to find out what that abbreviation in front of Giuseppe Storino's name means though, do you happen to know?
Thanks.

You're welcome. No, I'm not that good with the historical context. I work with another user who knows more about it than I do, but I don't think he's in this group yet.
