I'm very surprised there isn't an easy way to connect a source with any piece of information on a person's profile. I was able to attach a passenger log to an ancestor's profile as a general source, but I couldn't attach it to the custom event "Immigration to US". Seems like if you're able to create a biographical field for a profile, you should be able to attach sources for that field.

    Welcome to the "Community.FamilySearch' Forum.

    I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...

    Just in passing ...

    FYI

We have been requesting/asking/desiring, the ability to "Tag", the likes of (Especially) "Marriages" (ie. "Couple" Relationships); plus, "Events" in the "Other Information" Section, for countless YEARS, long before this particular post, that you have 'Commented' in, that is dated 4 August 2017 (and, even, before, 16 December 2013 - per the FIRST 'Comment'), was raised.

    Unfortunately ...

To-Date, such has not yet been forthcoming/implemented ...

Although, I such, may be, on the 'Drawing Board' ...

    Please be aware that ...

There are, MANY; Many; many, competing priorities in, "Family Tree" (and, the OTHER Parts), of 'FamilySearch'; and, there are LIMITED "Resources" (eg. "Fund") available to 'FamilySearch'.

'FamilySearch' was created by the Church.

'FamilySearch' is NOT a "Commercial" (ie. Paid/Subscription/Fee) Website.

    'FamilySearch' is FREE to ALL.

Like it or not, things just take time; and, we all know ... all things, in its own good time ...

It is just a matter of being patient (and, hoping) ...

[ Of course, I know ... easier said, than done, so to speak ... ]

We can but live in hope ...

    Just my thoughts.

    Brett
