Baptism Records
Need information and help accessing a Baptism Certificate or information. I have discovered a Baptism Record for Sereth 1845-1890 in the Family Search archive records. What I was wondering if there would be more information available other than just the names and dates? I was led to believe that more records could be stored in the Chernivtsi Archives? If so how would I access them?

The baptismal registers from Sereth are online on FS for parts of that time period but not others (https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/87546). What exactly are you looking for?
The baptismal register will of course have a lot more information than the index. For example, the second line on the right-hand page of the index for the letter C in 1845 (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-CSJ5-VVS?i=116&cat=87546) corresponds to the last entry on the right-hand page on image 57 of film 8206958 (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-CSLT-GBCK?i=56&cat=87546), which is the same as image 58 on film 8108078 (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-CSJ5-V997?i=57&cat=87546). (Baptisms 1837-1852 were filmed twice.)
Unfortunately, it looks like for baptisms after 1852, the index is all that's available: 1853-1871 was filmed, but it was grouped with other records that are restricted, so the whole film is not online, and it looks like the baptismal register after 1871 wasn't filmed.

Thank you for your response. I will share what I have found and perhaps you can help me find the register information. In the book Baptisms for Sereth 1845-1890 specifically pages 166 and 167. The last name Woycik. The name Emil Ladislaw Woycik 1888 V 430 page 167 is probably my paternal grandfather. He was born September 2nd 1888 in Sereth. His father was Franz and a Franz Wojcik is shown on page 166 1862 1V 217. There are other Woycik's listed in this record as well. I do not have names of any of his siblings. So what I was looking for was to see what the registers showed. I do not know how to find the registers.
Thank you Wayne Woycik
