Can someone help transcribe an old german church book record word for word?
Hello. This is my first time posting a request for assistance. I am an American who grew up speaking a limited amount of german. I've spent the past year trying to learn to read german handwriting and often struggle with determining transcriptions and translations. In the attached file is a copy of an entry from a church book record with additional references to the source, and a partial transcription. I am seeking assistance with completing as much of a word for word transcription in the german language. I believe some of the text will not be able to be transcribed due to the poor copy quality. Any assistance rendered will be appreciated. Thank you. Stephan Opalka.

Stephan, Unfortunately FS is unable to load or download documents. This began this morning and continues to this moment. However when FS gets back up they have the records you describe if I am reading your documents correctly. Go to search/then catalogue and type in Wittigwalde and you will find they have the same documents you downloaded. If you can read names and dates in German you will be able to find your documents. Hopefully they are better quality that what you have posted so far. I suggest you download the pages you need. I prefer searching by hand because indexing often misses or mis-translates entries. Put them into Photoshop and work with them until they are readable. Sometimes using a red filter will help. Also playing with the contrast will certainly be beneficial. Once you get a high resolution file, upload it to FS and when the translators look at it they will be able to enlarge the text and get a better view of what you want. The Community has some highly skilled translators who can help you if you have a high quality file. All the best. Merry Christmas!
