Marriage date of Frances and Richard Woodrum about 1844 in Georgia or surrounding states
I am still searching for the marriage record of my 3rd Great Grandmother so we can find her maiden name. I went to Statesboro, Georgia and spoke to a Genealogist at the City Library. She stated that I need to find the marriage record.
I have been unable to locate that record. Reasons why I have not found it yet.
They may have been married in a different state than Georgia,, the records I need may not have been digitized or indexed yet. The records could have been destroyed in some way. I will continue the search.
If anyone can help it would be a marriage of
Richard R Woodrum B. 1827 and Frances ? about 1844 in Georgia or surrounding states.
When we located the file labeled Woodrum at the genealogy library all it contained was a paper that see see Nessmith. They had hundreds of Nessmith records and could not figure out in a limited time if the needed record was there.

The FamilySearch wiki has a fairly new addition called Guided Research where you can get quick pointers for finding birth, marriage and death information. If the links to the top databases do not help you find the marriage you need then be sure to go back and read some of the problem solving tips. Let us know how it goes.
