I notice that a person's name has been entered incorrectly. Is it possible to correct this?

File https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XT6K-R1S lists John Mitchell's mother as Margaret Kynd. This is incorrect. It should be Margaret Hynd.

There are some indexes with some correctable fields on FamilySearch, but this one is not among them. Therefore, you can't really do anything beyond consoling yourself that the index served its purpose: you found the record.

Keep in mind that despite FamilySearch's upside-down-and-backwards approach (wherein "machine-parseable" is given priority over "genealogically valid"), indexes are not the data. They are merely finding aids for the data.
