I didn't think coming back soon ........ Can you translate this birth certificate concerning Janos Istvan Szabo to resve this enigma ! Is thereonly one child ( Janos Istvan) or two children ( Janos and Istvan) ?

It seem to see 4 god fathers and godmothers, so maybe two children ! but in this case , which one got married on january 18 - 1921

It's one child with two given names and four godparents. (One of my great-grandfathers had fifteen godparents listed. No, I don't think anybody actually kept track beyond the day of the baptism.)

    32. Born and baptized 26 December.

    Child: János István, male, legitimate

Parents: József Szabó, butcher, and Anna Tábory, R.Cath.

    Residence: Szend 80.

Godparents: Károly Vinkóczy manorial renter and his wife Mária Almássy, and János Vinkóczy butcher R.Cath. and his wife Zsuzsanna Adorján

Married in Tata 1921 January 18th to Eszter Sáfrán.

    Officiant: the same [Ernő Veninger]

    Remarks (midwife): the same [Belnyik]

    ---

Twins each got their own line number, for example 13 and 14 here: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:939V-M3CJ-8?i=352&cc=1743180

    Dear Julia,

As usual, you are so welcome ! Thank you for the translation and also for the example with several godfathers and godmothers .😀
