I'd be grateful for help with this old record...

The baptism record for 16 February, 1738 has been attached to my 5th great-grand aunt, Maren Jensdatter (L128-4MF). It is her only source, but I believe she has been listed with the wrong father in FamilySearch.

To me, the entry appears to say that her father's name is Jens Hansen from Welling. (What is the word/term in front of his name?)

There is an entry between Maren's and the one dated the 23rd, for a still-born child--correct?

Thanks in advance!

The record says that Jens Hansen's child, Maren, of Welling was christened on the 16th of February. The word before Jen's name is "blev" which means "became" (as in "became baptized/christened").

There are actually two records between Maren's on the 16th and Christen's on the 23rd.

The first is for Michel Pedersen's child Anna of Tifker (Tyvkær), christened on the same day as Maren.

The second is for a still-born child born to Hans Thomas(en) in Lill. Well. (Lille Velling). The date for this record is simply "I denne maanad" - "In this month".
