@Kent Gardiner I can't get this quite large enough to read the smallest writing. I can read that on the 16 February, early in the morning, Anna Margareth. and Hans [maybe an E and definitely an l and a bunch of vowels!] Scholl, both from here, Anna Margaretha is his wife, and they had a little son, whom they named, Hans Maths (looks like the scribe abbreviated this). It looks like the baby was christened on the 18th.
The witnesses are 1.) Hans (I am not sure, it ends with an s) and he is carpenter, Zimmerman, and citizen, [burgers] from this location, his wife [hausfrau] is Margareth. 2.)Matheus [?]oepler, burger (murky) fuer [oepl.] Elisabeth his house wife.

some additions to Annette's translation:
On 16 February [1681] in the early morning Anna Margretha, wife of Hans Endris Scholl, citizen here, gave birth to a little son, who was thereupon baptized on the 18 February and named Hans Mattheus. Baptismal sponsors were: (1) Hans Andreas Zimmermann, citizen here, and his wife Anna Margretha. (2) Mattheus Rößler, citizen and innkeeper at the sign of the white little horse and his wife Elisabeth.

Ulrich Neitzel Ulrich, Thank you. This is a very important document, in fact one of the most important documents in the Scholl line. We have very little on Hans Endris Scholl, linking him with his children (one of my earliest Scholl ancestor). This is loaded with important information. Bless and keep you. You are totally amazing!!! I am very excited to research all names and dates in this translation! Kent
