On the 12th of January [1675], to this world was born Johann Martin Hoß at night at 2:00 am, whose parents are Hans Michael Hoß and his wife Anna Maria etc.?, and was baptized on the 14th of January [1675] two days later after the morning sermon. Baptismal sponsors were: (1) Martin Moß, tax/custons official, and his wife. (2) Hanß Caspar Beckher and his wife. (3) Hans Matthaus Cammerer and his wife etc.?
Comment: Not sure if that abbreviation is "etc.", and if it is, what it means in this record where it appears twice; hence the question marks.

Robert Seal_1 Robert, Yesterday I spend hours going through all the sponsors from about 1660 - 1695 in Graben, by hand, (indexing doesn't pick up sponsors) looking for Scholl's. I'm sure you noticed my intent from the postings. One thing that really came through was how many times Martin Moß, tax/custons official was mentioned. Maybe 10 times or so. He was very popular and, as you know, in his own documents people speak in glowing terms. Thanks for adding to the story. Kent
I have a Scholl ancestor named Anna Margretha Hosin 1644-1693. We have almost nothing on her or on her parents. I am interested in variations on her last name. Based on the idea that Germans added "in" to the female last name, maybe she is a Hoss? Thoughts?
