Where I can get the typed index-church book-BMDs & baptisms fr Worpswede, Hanover, Germany
Good evening. Greetings from New York.
I have two typed pages of what I think is an index that was created from the church books. Yes they are also within several microfilms on Family Search but they are in German and in the standard paragraph form. See the attached two pages that I am referring to. Thank you, in advance.

Good day and greetings from Berlin, Germany. I hope this message finds you well.
I am on vacation but I will be returning to NY to try to access the book that you suggested. I have spent MANY hours at the NYPL and maybe that was where I got those two pages from. Thank you, thank you, very much!

Randi, the church used to do what amounts to family group sheets for each ward. My brother wanted to see my grandmothers record in Eden, Utah and went to the FHL in SLC. I think there may be some privacy issues with distributing the sheet. Not sure about that. In SLC he was able to see the list of families in the ward with information like you have for Hanover. If you can get a nice clear copy you can post it here and someone will translate it for you. If there are privacy issues you can have it translated privately. Good luck.

Hello @Randi Patrick,
I believe the image you posted comes from the following book:
Franz Stelljes, Familienbuch Worpswede: ein Sippenbild der Bevölkerung rund um den Weyerberg 1675 bis 1875. Sankt Augustin, Germany: self-published by Franz Stelljes, 2000.
The Family History Library in Salt Lake City does not have a copy of this book. I checked WorldCat online and only three libraries in the United States hold a copy of this book: Stanford University, New York Public Library, and Harvard University. You might try to request a copy through interlibrary loan at your local public library. Although my experience in the past using interlibrary loan indicates that most libraries are unwilling to loan genealogy books such as these for fear of loss.
I note that you are from New York. If you are close to NYC you may be able to visit the New York Public Library and view their copy of this book. Note however that when I checked the NYPL catalog it said that this book is stored offsite so you may have to request it in advance so it can be delivered to the library before your visit. Be sure to check with the library beforehand.
Sincerely, Robert Seal_1

@Randi Patrick We are so glad you have joined our German community - It is a great place to get help and to help others! We have a lot of talented, experienced participants here.
Be sure to review the links at the top of our community page for some great resources. We look forward to hearing from you. We are so glad you are part of this great community!
Thanks for being patient as we sometimes must wait for a response to come from a volunteer with the needed skill set. It is always good if you include the identification number of the person in question in Family Search Family Tree so we can see the bigger picture.
We look forward to your comments and questions.
Enjoy today! Cindy Jarvis
