What is Augusta’s maiden name in this marriage record?
This is a marriage record from Wangeritz, Naugard, Pomerania. I read it as: “1641 in 18 May Michael Filter und Augusta ————- vertraut”. I cannot make out her last name well. I want to say Plantkem, but that does not sound like German name. Could you please share what you read her last name to be? It is the second entry on the top left of the page. Thank you.

This is a death record that looks like the right wife but this time it looks like Ursula Plantkowen. That looks a little more German on the last name, so I think I’m fine. Thank you.

Hello @ChristinaW8,
Well done Christina!
In the first record the surname is: Planktkow.
In the second record the surname is: Plantkowen. The "en" suffix is probably to indicate this is a female, so the "en" can be dropped making the name Plantkow.
