@Elizabeth Hicks_1 We are so glad you have joined our German community - It is a great place to get help and to help others! We have a lot of talented, experienced participants here.
Most of the time, it is best to use "ask a question" - do this by selecting the arrow to the right of "new discussion". Asking a question allows you to accept the answer or let us know you would like more help. (I was able to change this post to a question for you.)
I will mark my response as a rejected answer because it only gives you some tips, not an answer to your question - then this will continue showing as an unanswered question and it should get more attention that way.
Be sure to review the links at the top of our community page for some great resources. We look forward to hearing from you. We are so glad you are part of this great community!
Thanks for being patient as we sometimes must wait for a response to come from a volunteer with the needed skill set. It is always good if you include the identification number of the person in question in Family Search Family Tree so we can see the bigger picture.
We look forward to your comments and questions.
Enjoy today! Cindy Jarvis

I have two entries in Meyersgaz.org the first for Podlask which only provided the Kreis, namely Schubin. Then I searched for Schubin in Meyers. Provided is the link to the map, where you can toggle the map to show the Polish name today. This is pertinent, in that you may need to search a Polish archive for those records.
The following link, is what what appears when you click on the Ecclesiastical in the grey ribbon just above the map. This page will show a list of place names and what parishes are located there and how distant they are from the key place name searched. https://www.meyersgaz.org/place/20761061
I checked the FamilySearch catalog, and found two entries for Schubin, and then more within the Places within feature just above said collections. https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/results?count=20&placeId=44233&query=%2Bplace%3A%22Germany%2C%20Preu%C3%9Fen%2C%20Posen%2C%20Schubin%22
There are four place names, I think you will want to look at these. I don't know if you have checked the Poznan Project that has and is continuously indexing marriages for this region, here's the link. http://poznan-project.psnc.pl/index.php?lang=en
After toggling the map, Schubin has now the Polish name Szubin. A quick Google search pulled up a wikipedia article, which you can change into the German wiki article, and then translate into English. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Szubin
The Polish place name is relevant, because, https://geneteka.genealodzy.pl/ is consulted to know which Voivodeship Szubin is in. The Poland Genealogy FamilySearch research wiki page has some great information, that may be useful to your query. https://www.familysearch.org/wiki/en/Poland_Genealogy
You will want to click on Kujawsko-Pomorskie in the list. And then search the parishes, "Parafia". You can translate the Geneteka site to English, but it won't translate the records. Within the parish or parfia box, you will see an alphabetized place name list. I checked for Szubin, but did not see it listed. You may need the next level up. I didn't see anything for Podlask, Schubin.
I would check Meyersgaz under Ecclesiastical or in the map, and click on Toggle to search for Protestant parishes near Schubin. When you click on Protestant parishes, pins will appear for each parish, if you toggle the map, you can then search the Geneteka link within the Kujawsko-Pomorskie page, and see what is available. https://geneteka.genealodzy.pl/index.php?op=gt&lang=pol&w=02kp
There may be other sources available to check. If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Hello @Elizabeth Hicks_1
Podlask (now Podlaski, Poland) is situated about 10 km (6 miles) NE of Schubin/Szubin, see clip from Meyers below.
The village is very small and had no own church. The closest protestant church was in Lochowo according to Meyers. Some of the church books for the Bromberg district are available on Archion.de (https://www.archion.de/de/browse/?no_cache=1#https://www.archion.de/de/browse/?no_cache=1&path=3-667566-667567): Ostgebiete: Evang. Zentralarchiv Berlin -> Kreis Bromberg (Provinz Posen)
I didn't see Lochowo, though.

Thank you. I am looking for the Evangelical parish in Podlaski, Poland circa 1850-1880. Is there a church
archives for this area? Or has the Evangelical parish become Catholic?
Thank you.
