I need translation help for this Swedish word/abbreviation that is written in the remarks in the Household Examination record for my ancestor. Thank you very much!

    Hello Ulrich Neitzel,

There is a word rymma which means "to run away". The past tense would be rymd but in use with the word "ha or har" it would be with a "t" as in rymt. It's not unusual to see in the household examinations for people who fled or left without notifying the parish authorities.

To David's point, it's always helpful to see the whole page for context. Or, at least include source information so we can look it up in the records.

    Thanks,

    Geoff
