translation help
Could someone please help translate the last entry on the page? Under the father, I believe it says that Elise Hildebrand married Georg Hermann Stegner on the 21. März 1899. Was he the biological father of the child or did he adopt him? Any other information?

According to the report of the registry office Georg Hermann Stegner has married the f[ormer] H[ildebrand] and according to the protocol of the district court of March 21, 1899 he confessed to be the father of the child produced by him.
