Will the correct Stina Olsdotter please stand up? Expert help needed.
Stina Olsdotter born 14 Feb 1796 in Lillkyrka, Örebro. There is only one.
Fast forward to 1851 household examination in Lillkyrka. One Stina Olsdotter married to Carl Olof Westerlund with that correct birth date and place. Page 117.
One Stina Olsdotter GDMF-FDB (ours) widow from Johan Forsell, widow from Anders Anderson, about to marry Per Sundman and become widow of Corp.Sundman born Olsdotter in many future records, also with birth date and place 14 Feb 1896, Lillkyrka,. Page 36.
Stina moves around a lot, before and after marriage. The birth date follows both of them (not all records). Was the peasantry illiterate? Did the priest make a perpetuated error? Which one gets the birth record and who is the other one? Move in and out records are not available in the earlier 1818ca timeframe, but must be found in the household examinations.
Any expert insights would be appreciated. Right now we are working on compiling all records into timelines noting farm names etc.
Many quirks in these records - C O Westerlund's birth parish varies, birth year corrected by priest by applying to other parish.
Marriage to Anders Anderson recorded in Stora Mellösa, with a remark that seem to indicate performed in Lillkyrka. Stina, widow of Sundman, with a perpetual note in later years erroneously reported dead years earlier.
Thank you so much for your time.

If you create a google/shareable timeline doc, I'd be interested in looking at it. It looks like an interesting case. I'll look into it as much as I can and see if I can get any clearer advice for you.

Thank you for your interest. The time line for our Stina Olsdotter 14 February 1796 – Deceased• GDMF-FDB
is too long to paste here (Too many characters). It can be seen under her sources.
The other Stina Olsdotter can be seen at Sweden Household Examination Books, 1820-1947 - Stina Olsdotter
Örebro - Lillkyrka AI15 - Page 117 - Line 2.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Okay, after giving this a little bit of research this is what I think.
There are two Stinas and this is how I would divide them
1) Stina Olsdotter, born to Olof Jonsson and Brita Andersdotter on 14 - 02 - 1796 in Lillkyrka.
Married Corporal Carl Olof Westerlund and had two children, Brita Stina (1829) and Carl Johan (1832)
Carl is from Skelefeå, and the family lives consistantly in Åsta Husartorp, Lillkyrka, Örebro.
2) Stina Olsdotter, who first appears in Stora Mellosa and marries three times. Her birthday is likely in October of 1791, place, unknown, but maybe Lillkyrka parish.
Married 1) Anders Andersson in 1820. The marriage was preformed in Lillkyrka, but Stina was living in Hjelmsnäs, Stora Mellösa, Örebro at the time. The couple had four children: Carolina, Maja Stina, Anders and Anna.
Married 2) Johan Torsell in 1832 in Lillkyrka parish. Together they had one child, Johanna.
Married 3) Per Sundman in 1841 in Lillkyrka parish. Per was also a Corporal like Carl Westerlund which may have added to the confusion by the priest.
The reason I believe this is because if you walk back in Household records starting at the time of Stina's first marriage this is what it looks like
1818-1819: living in Prästagård as a servant girl, birth listed as 1796.
1817-1818: living in Resta, Stora Mellösa, Örebro, birth listed as 30 - 10- 1796.
Stora Mellösa (T) AI:13b (1816-1820) Image 43 / Page 36
1816-1817: Living in Knarstorp, Stora Mellösa, Örebro, birth listed as 26 - 10 - 1796.
Stora Mellösa (T) AI:13b (1816-1820) Image 67 / Page 60
1815-1816: living in Via- Frälse, Stora Mellösa, Örebro, birth listed as 1791
Stora Mellösa (T) AI:12a (1811-1815) Image 43 / Page 36
1811-1815: living in Stånger, Stora Mellösa, Örebro, birth listed as 1791
Stora Mellösa (T) AI:12a (1811-1815) Image 26 / Page 19
1811: living in Östra Rynninge, Stora Mellösa, Örebro, birth listed as 1791

All of these records are tied together by notes left by the priest indicating the page in the HHE books that she can be found at, before the current location. She moved around a lot and the priest in Stora Mellosa has done a good job of tracking her from one move to the next. None of the records in Stora Mellösa for this Stina's early life mention a birthdate on 14 Feb 1796, it isn't until this Stina moves to Lillkyrka parish with her second husband that this birthdate ever appears on her records.

Also in the earlier records for Stina #2, her name is listed as Kerstin, which is likely what you'll find in a birth record for her.

If I had to bet with this knowledge I have right now - my money would be on this Kerstin born 5 May 1791 in Kärsta, Lillkyrka, Örebro:
Lillkyrka (T) C:4 (1787-1840) Image 24 (AID: v63799.b24, NAD: SE/ULA/10839)
I would follow the household records forward to see if you can connect this Kerstin to the one in Stora Mellösa in 1811.

Thank you so much for all that work. You are wonderful. Somewhere we must have mixed the girls up when they were moving from place to place. We will pursue your suggestions. It is good to know that even though the priest got them mixed up, we should be able to document and straighten it up.
Thank you again,
