1921 census of England and Wales. Will it be available at Family History Library
My question is specifically about the 1921 census of England and Wales -- Will it be available at the FHL when it is released in January 2022?
I think that the UK National Archives granted Findmypast the commercial rights to index this census and make it available to patrons for a per frame. It would not be cheap for multiple look-ups.

I believe initially FindMyPast will have exclusive rights to the census. As you may know, there will be a charge of 3.50 pounds per image or 2.50 per index entry. I expect that, like what happened with the 1939 Register which FindMyPast also had initial exclusive rights to, these charges will at some point be decreased and eventually removed.
FamilySearch and other genealogical websites will have to wait, and access for them is, as always, dependent on negotiations with the record owner- which is The National Archives (TNA).

To add to @A van Helsdingen's comment, the waiting period is likely to be several years.

We do have institutional access to FindMyPast at the FHL, so it may be possible to still view it in the library.

There is still a charge to full subscribers to FMP. So I doubt that institutional access will assist.
