I have been adding census records as a source for some ancestors & whilst the source record takes I am unable to make it appear in the Timeline

If a residence comes up as a hint & I accept that hint the all is OK.

An example of a source that I added that does not appear in the Timeline is https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/timeline/G8GY-64G

Thanks in anticipation of you kind help

You can add a residence or other event to the timeline:

Áine, thank you so much for explaining this so well to an oldie without to much tech savvy, it's so easy when you know how!
