Requesting translation assistance with baptism record for Friedrich Weinkauff
Dear German genealogy group,
Could someone kindly help translate this baptismal record for me? The child is Friedrich Jacob Weinkauf. I believe his father is Wolfgang Sebastian. Mother is Margaret? Date of birth is 17 May (1775); date of baptism is 19 May. Place is Danenfels? That's all I can make out. If you can confirm and fill in the blanks, I would be very grateful.
Kind regards
Kate

This is wonderful information and I am so very grateful for your help. My family tree is unfolding with your help. I can't wait to share this information with my cousin -- who is a Weinkauff (meaning wine merchant?)-- who will no doubt be delighted to learn that his great great great great grandfather tended the prince's wine cellar.
Gratefully,
Kate

Hello @KM41 and @Robert Seal
I suspect that the Kirchheim named here is the place known as Kirchheimbolanden, about 5 km NE of Dannenfels.

True, @Robert Seal_1 . Again, it would be useful to know from which parish the church book comes.

Hello Robert and Ulrich, I am very grateful to see your thoughtful responses. I agree, Robert, it is good practice to send an entire screen shot so you can see the headings of columns. I will do this in the future.
I have located the full screen shot for the baptism record and have pasted it below. I will also include the hyperlink to the record.
As for the confusing record -- marriage or death? -- I found the record and it is indexed as a marriage record. But in looking at the full page (screen shot below), I wonder. But with my limited knowledge of German, I cannot say for certain what is going on here. (Except to wonder whether all 3 banns were read?)
I do know that Friedrich Weinkauff and Maria Christiana Ditmar had a daughter about 8 months earlier (22 May 1797).
What makes this even more confusing: in the next generation Karl Christian Weinkauff who was born in Kircheimbolanden on 22 September 1819 -- when he is born the parents are listed as Friedrich Weinkauff and Maria Christiana Preyss, but when he marries in 1846, it says his parents are Friedrich Weinkauff and Maria Christiana Ditmars. And I have found an indexed record for the marriage of Friedrich Jacob Weinkauff in 1808 to Maria Preyss in Kircheimbolanden. I thought the Weinkauff-Ditmars marriage record would shed some light, but not so! (I have requested a copy of the full Weinkauff-Preyss marriage record from familysearch; I hope it comes soon as it may be essential for untangling this mystery.)
In the meantime, the full records are below and I am grateful if you can glean any additional information. I am keen to establish the identity of the parents of the above mentioned Karl Christian Weinkauff, but it is going to take some work! Your assistance has been absolutely helpful.
Gratefully, Kate

p.s. And I forgot to mention that I found an indexed record of Friedrich Jakob Weinkauff's death in 1840 in Kircheimbolanden. So I am not sure what to make of the "death" of Friederich in 1797 record.

@KM41 and @Robert Seal_1
OK, I see now that the "death" notice is really a marriage ...
It was a reading error: "starb" (died) is actually "-sters", the ending of "Kellermei-" from the preceding line: Kellermeister = cellar master.

@Robert Seal_1 Hello Robert, proclamations are normally being read publicly in the church during/after the service. "In der Stille" means apparently that this did not happen in this case, for whatever reason. I don't know if there were no proclamations at all or if they were done in a different way, e.g. a written notice.
On the opposite page there are three marriages with only a dash in the proclamation column, so no proclamation at all?
