Gjertrude Pettersdotter, born 7 May 1821, committed a crime. and was incarcerated. She moved back home in 1848, and there is a note that explains what she did and where she was for having killed her illegitimate child. I need to know where she served her time, and the name of the child that died, as well as any other information that could help me find the infant. The note is halfway down the page on the right hand side. I believe the whole note pertains to her. Thank you for any help you can give.

The image on Riksarkivet is difficult to read. I looked it up in ArkivDigital and it somewhat better but still messy. From reading through it, I figured out that she had a child out of wedlock which was killed and the mother served in the Norrköping spinnhus. The records for the spinnhus are on ArkivDigital and I found her service record there (see attached.) From this we learn that Gertrud Petersdotter was admitted to the spinnhus on 26 June, 1844 from Kalmar län. She served 4 years for the death of her newborn that was born in 1842 (did not give a name.) According to this Gertrud had lived a life of vanity and flightiness before having the child. The case and conviction was handled by the Göta Hov Rätt on 16 Apr. 1844.
