How to Set up an Account for a Elderly Patron without cell phone or email
We have a person in our center that doesn't have a cell phone, computer or email. She wanted to start a tree. I call the helpdesk 1-866-406-1830 and was told it couldn't be done.

@David A. Peterson You could help her set up an email account. Services such as Hotmail, Live Mail, Gmail, and Yahoo are free--I'm sure there are others. That way she could set up an account with FamilySearch. Even though she does not have a computer at home, she can use one at the center to check the email account to activate her new FamilySearch account.

Don't need to. You can sign in Helper mode and do all of the work for her and it will be attributed to her name. Click the Lifesaver near the top right hand corner of the page.
The Helper Number will be the last 5 digits of the member's record number.
