Are there any Quaker records from Merionethshire Wales near Llanvachreth from the 1600s? I'd like to find a removal certificate circa 1683-4 for Evan ap William Powell, sons David Evans (wife Gainor) and Philip Evans who went to Radnor Pennsylvania.
Their removal certificate is recorded in US Quaker Meeting Records; Radnor Monthly Meetings, Births, Deaths, Marriages, Certificates of Removal, 1683-1730, image 5 on www.ancestry.com.
The boys David and Philip Evans made it to Radnor PA but the father Evan ap William Powell, died on the ship. The father was supposedly a Quaker for 30 years past (i.e., from the 1650s.)
Thank you!

I'd start with a search in the FamilySearch catalog. Do a place search for Wales and add the keywords society of friends. That will list a few options. Remember that it is just the start. Because you are looking for records so early, other records for the Friends may need to be used.
