Translation Request for Czech Baptism Record on 24 July 1808

I need help making sure that I have my translation of this Czech Baptism record correct. It kind of looks like German script, but I am not sure. It is for this FamilySearch source record:

https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/sources/GDD6-RZX

I just want to make sure that I didn't miss any important information. Thanks.

@Betseylee Browning Thank you so much. For the most part I had it correct. I still want to clean up documenting the record.

The information in this FamilySearch record so far. I have used the Baptism record to populate it as far as I can read it.

I just want to make sure that I haven't missed anything from the Baptism record that might give more clues on how to proceed.

I have been looking for her birth but have not found a Josepha yet. Her father's surname is Strnad. The owa is a female ending. There are quite a few people in the indexes with her surname. Also if there is only one date in the christening record, it is the christening date. Your record had both birth and christening.

That is true but there is a note under the date that says it is the birth and christening were on the same day. Isn't that what gebornen means? Your translation also says born and christened.

Betseylee, I really appreciate all of the investigation that you are doing. Your help with translating Josefa's last name was quite helpful. I really didn't expect any more research except for the initial translation. My daughter and I have to do a little more thinking and exploring for ourselves, but you have been a great help and resource. I really love the FamilySearch Groups. I have been updating my tree in FamilySearch for years and never knew about the groups and all of the help that the site can provide. Thanks.

About the dates it was an extra tidbit for you. Your record had the same date on both events. I think I found another town the Strand family came from. I had to do some extra research to figure the surname. I will send more tomorrow.

    BetseyLee,

I would appreciate any help on my Czech side that you can provide. I have been focusing on my father's Germany heritage over the past 3 weeks. So now I can start working on the Czech and Slovak ancestors. The following fan chart provides an overview of what I have so far:

    https://www.familysearch.org/tree/pedigree/fanchart/L6J6-JSC

What would be the next steps? Should I request a 20 minutes help session?

Let me take a look at the info you sent. Usually, the Consultation Czech expert allows 40 minutes for the consultation because you can't do much with 20 minutes. She is nice. Yes, I would ask her what your next steps are.

Oops, my daughter entered this information back in 2021. She did screen shots instead of linking to the records like I did for my German records. I am going to have to follow up with her. Meanwhile, I will start getting familiar with the Czech tools, like I am with the German ones.

Oh, I am going to look for a Webinar on Searching for Czech records, like the one that I found for German ones.
