Change of name of Family Group Tree not reflected on 'Recent People' page and in tags BUG
Soon after creating the Family Group I decided to use a different name.
However, when I go to the Recent People page, the group name that is displayed is the original group name, not the amended name. This is on all people in the group, including people who were created after the group was made.
In addition, when people are tagged in photos, the original group name is displayed next to the person, not the current name.

To clarify, the strange display is when choosing the Recents option on the Family Tree menu, not Recents in the sub-menu bar

There are a number of issues with the Recents page, which is probably since work pending.
I've also noticed that it lists all my recent activity (public, private and specific trees), which is excellent. However, when I click on the tree icon I get some odd behaviour. If a specific shared tree is my 'current' tree, and I choose from the Recents a Living person in the FamilySearch Tree, I would expect that the display would flip to the FamilySearch Tree and display that person in the correct context. However, I'm finding that it displays them in the Shared Tree, even though they aren't in that tree.
I thought perhaps this was an issue with the new Siblings display, but behaves the same for Portrait.
Hopefully the Recents page will get a bit more testing and problem solving to sort these issues out.

This error related to recents should be fixed in the latest update.

Thank you. When selecting a person from the 'Recents' page I am now getting the correct tree displayed. When choosing people in the Recents dropdown the display flips between trees quite seamlessly. When choosing from the Recents page there seems to be a delay, the previously displayed tree name appears for a second or so before displaying the correct one.
The originally reported problem of displaying the original name of the Group Tree is still a problem in situations where the Group Tree name has been changed.0 -
This problem is still there. Do I need to delete my test Family Group and start again with a name that I'm happy to use ongoing, or will this be fixed at some stage? I tried recreating a person to see if they picked up the current group name. Still the original one. It looks as if the original group name has been set in the background as the key for the group and doesn't get updated when the group name is changed. Any current update on this please?

This has not been forgotten but is amongst a number of other fixes that are currently being worked out. Keep your eyes open for this to be fixed in a future update.

Thanks Anne for the confirmation. I see that this appears on the Known Issues list (multiple times) so there is a commitment to fix it. A bit frustrating though - I have returned to do further testing after a few months gap (to allow the software to settle a bit) and this rather fundamental bug is still there. It's a frustrating one, so hopefully will be fixed before too long.

Ah, I think we have it figured out. So long as that name (with the old tree tag) stays on your Recents list, it keeps the old tree name. Once it is falls off your Recents list (50 names) it will reset to the correct tree name when it appears again on your Recents list.

Hi @AnneLoForteWillson Thanks for the suggestion but I'm not convinced that this is the answer. I checked my recents list and one of my sisters did not appear on that list. I then looked at her record, so she is now top of the list, and she appears with the old original tree name. In addition, I am in two Family Group Trees as well as the Family Search Tree, and I appear with the old (original) tree name as well.
Perhaps it is only a problem for FGTs created early in the Early Access period?
Oh, and PS, I appear on the Recents list all the time ie my alter-ego from the FGT, and this has the incorrect tree name. I can't see how it can ever 'fall off'.

Good points. I will see what information we can get about this from the project team.
