New Person Page Roman versus x-Latn Name Fields
Someone in another discussion page said they had posted this issue here but I don't find any reference. I'm not sure if it is imported data causing it or a change from the Old Person screen to the New Person screen but that was the implication. Anyway...
I've been seeing many examples of name fields (Vital and Alternate Name sections) where the data is in field labeled "x-Latn" and the Language Template is always "Other" and the "Roman" fields are empty. I have been transporting the data into the "Roman" fields and changing the template to the appropriate language (usually English) and everything seems fine, the x-Latn fields disappear if they are empty and I change the template. I don't know if there is an issue here or if there could be an issue in the future.
I have left the Alternate Name fields unchanged on the record below.

The Old Person page would hide all unknown language template under other. The New Person page is giving you the information so users can make a more informed decision. x-Latn is not a valid code in the system and has come from another. This should usually be moved to English, French, Italian, etc...

@lyleblunttoronto1, is there any chance of a "what's this" link when there's an unknown language template?

That's a great idea.
