Please translate these two birth records. I think they are siblings. Thank you.

Thank you for the translation of Hans Helmut Noth's record. Do you think that the note is stating that Hans was married in the year 1931 at Berlin-Lankwitz and no. 180 is the marriage record number?

That's helpful to know that the lower notes on both birth records were added later with information about the person's marriage. I'm learning that some German records can be very detailed. Thank you very much for translating and adding the link to Hans' marriage record and including his wife's name. With the information of the two marriages and names of the spouses in the records, there are additional names to add to the tree!
Question: When I request a translation, there is a choice of uploading the image or adding the URL of the image page. Are both ways of attaching the image fine or is one of the two best?

Thanks Robert for all your answers and answers from others in the German Group. I help people with their Family History and someone asked me for help with his German line. I'm fine with helping someone with researching English language records but I have very little experience with Germany and it's records. As I prepared to help this person, I decided the join Community and the German Group because someone recommended it to me. I had to learn how to successfully research German records myself before I attempted to teach him how to be successful at it. The translation requests that I've posted are records of ancestors of the person I'm helping. Since joining Community, I've learned that with the help of FamilySearch and Ancestry's record search results and especially their "low hanging fruit" Record Hints and the help of the German Group translating those records, successful researching and adding German ancestors to one's tree is possible for those who have no knowledge of the German language. I'm going to teach the person with the German line what I've learned recently about researching Germany and also how to join Community and the German Group. I'll teach him how to ask a question and request a translation. I think he can be successful in working on his German line with all the great help that's available on FamilySearch and Community.

Hello Robert
I read a description of the book by Ernest Thode and it says that it's designed for those who don't read German and it contains translations specifically related to genealogy research. I think your suggestion would be beneficial for the person I'm helping because the book would help him to translate easier words in German records and then he can ask for Community's help to translate difficult words and symbols that require an experienced translator. Thank you for letting me know about the book and I'll give the book information to him.
Question: Does this book need to be used in conjunction with a standard German/English translation book?

Robert,
I'll let the person know that a good English/German dictionary is also needed. Thank you, Debra.

Hello @Robert Seal_1
Question: Can you recommend one or two titles of a "good" English/German dictionary to be used in conjunction with the book by Ernest Thode? And what do you think about using Google Translate rather than a "good" English/German dictionary?
Thank you for your help, Debra.

Hello @Robert Seal_1,
Yes, your answer is very helpful and will help my friend know the recommended resources that are available for translating German church records. I'll let my friend know that Google Translate and DeepL are useful but have the limitations that you explained.
Thank you very much for explaining the translation tools so well and providing the information that I needed.
