Was Rosina Lomonaco's mother really Cecilia Perniciaro?
Hello again,
I learned that Rosina was born in Mazara del Vallo, Trappani, Sicily in 1888 and that she died in Paris, France in 1943. On the French death notice it lists that her mother Cecicila Perniciaro (born 1866, also from Mazara del Vallo Trappani, Sicily) and her father Gerolamo Lomonaco showed up to confirm that Rosina was their daughter. I have no other information on Gerolamo.
However, I find no records that say Cecilia was was married to Gerolamo; all records say Cecilia was married to Pietro Giacolone (and Rosina is not listed as one of their children). Does this mean that Cecilia wasn't Rosina's mother or does it mean that perhaps Rosina was illegitimate? I have searched in all combinations and cannot connect Rosina or Cecelia or Gerolamo in any other way than the French death certificate.
I'd like to continue researching Rosina and her parents but am stuck. Please help, thank you.

This case is quite complex, but very interesting. To get better help, it would be best in this situation if you could post links (or images if not online) of all the relevant records you have so far, so that all that work doesn't need to be repeated.
That said, looking at all this, the best way to solve all of your problems would be to find Publio Ferrari and Rosina Lomonaco's marriage. Since you know their son was born in Turin in 1911, searching the marriages manually in Turin is a good place to start if you haven't done so already. See: https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/1163309 Note that comparatively few Italian records are indexed, so searching the records manually is usually mandatory to find what you are looking for!

UPDATE:
Here is Cesare's 1911 birth record in Turin: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-CSQK-P9R9-4?i=504&cat=1163309
Here is a birth from 25 Jun 1888 in Mazara del Vallo for a Rosa Lo Monaco, daughter of Girolamo and Cecilia Perniciaro: http://dl.antenati.san.beniculturali.it/v/Archivio+di+Stato+di+Trapani/Stato+civile+italiano/Mazara+del+Vallo/Nati/1888/007853501_00523.jpg.html
Based on your Rosina's 1943 death record, this is surely her, but it would still be nice to find Publio and Rosina's marriage. I searched both Turin and Mazara del Vallo and could not find it, so it could literally be anywhere!
I also found the 1957 death certificate you posted on FamilySearch. Note that it's a death certificate and not a marriage certificate. It indicates that Publio Ferrari, son of the late Cesare and the late Maddalena Masiero, born in Verona, died in Turin on 16 May 1957, aged 71. His first wife was the late Rosina Lomonaco and his present wife was Alice Mathieu, born in Grenoble on 26 Oct 1889. He left 4 children from his 1st marriage, Eupilio age 48, Stella age 48, Cesare age 46, Augusto age 43, all 4 of whom are married. He left no children from his 2nd marriage. His 2nd marriage took place in Turin on 11 Nov 1945.
Unfortunately, the civil records for Verona are not available publicly, be it online or in-person, for the period you need. And also, civil registration only began in this area in 1871. However, there are a few other sources we can use for Verona. There are the population registers of 1836-1871 and the military draft lists, both available on the website of the Archivio Comunale di Verona: https://archivio.comune.verona.it/nqcontent.cfm?a_id=7791
I found Publio Ferrari's draft registration, he was born in Verona on 25 Feb 1886, parents Cesare and Maddalena Masiero. He was resident in the city of Genoa in 1908.
I also found Publio's parents in the population register of the city of Verona. Cesare Ferrari was born 16 Feb 1838, son of Natale and Rosa Vidi. Maddalena Masiero was born 10 Jun 1850, daughter of Pietro and Filomena Bernabè. They married 20 Aug 1868.
The situation in Sicily is different, with civil records online back to 1820.

UPDATE:
Thanks to that mention in his draft registration that he resided in Genoa, I found the marriage record!
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QS7-89WL-JSC5?i=2694&cc=2046914&cat=736332
2 Jan 1908
Publio Ferraro, single, age 21, born in Verona, resident in Genoa, son of the living Cesare, resident in Verona, and the late Maddalena Masiero
Rosa Lo Monaco, single, age 19, born in Mazara del Vallo, resident in Genoa, daughter of the living Girolamo, resident in Genoa, and the living Cecilia Perniciaro, resident in Genoa.
With this, Rosa's parents are confirmed beyond all doubt! You will definitely need to review the tree you built for them on FamilySearch as you have researched a totally different set of parents!

For Antonio Borra and Maria Manzo, because their daughter was born in Bene Vagienna, it's very likely they were from there too. In fact, looking at surname frequency, we see both surnames are very common in that town: https://www.cognomix.it/mappe-dei-cognomi-italiani/BORRA/PIEMONTE/CUNEO and https://www.cognomix.it/mappe-dei-cognomi-italiani/MANZO/PIEMONTE/CUNEO
Unfortunately, the civil records for Cuneo province are only publicly accessible up to 1899, so it's impossible to actually verify this yourself. The only way to proceed will be to request birth/marriage certificates from the comune of Bene Vagienna. If they are not answering you, you may need to use a document retrieval service in Italy. There is also the possibility of working with the parish church, requesting baptism/marriage records, but they are even less likely to reply.
Publio Ferrari's draft registration is here (1886 draft list) on page 146: https://archiviostorico.comune.verona.it/LEVA_VERONA/ACVR_2141_300.pdf
Now, with regards to your Sicilian side, you must be very careful not to make assumptions without records. Until you find an actual marriage record for Girolamo and Cecilia, or a death record for one of them that mentions the other as spouse, it will be impossible to know who their parents are. Luckily, the civil records are all online for Trapani province and can be consulted freely: http://dl.antenati.san.beniculturali.it/v/Archivio+di+Stato+di+Trapani/
I recommend searching for siblings born prior to 1888 in Mazara del Vallo, and then once you find the oldest sibling, searching for the marriage record in the years preceding that. Hopefully, they married in Mazara del Vallo and not somewhere else!

Here is your marriage (http://dl.antenati.san.beniculturali.it/v/Archivio+di+Stato+di+Trapani/Stato+civile+italiano/Mazara+del+Vallo/Matrimoni/1879/007769030_00853.jpg.html)
Mazara del Vallo, 19 Nov 1879
Girolamo Lo Monaco, age 35, born in Castelvetrano, resident in Mazara del Vallo, son of the late Pietro, and the late Crocifissa Incerto Lo Monaco (not sure if her surname is truly Incerto, or a dual surname Incerto Lo Monaco, or they're using "Incerto" to mean uncertain, and the groom did not know his mother's surname)
Cecilia Perniciaro, age 19, born in Mazara del Vallo, resident in Mazara del Vallo, daughter of the living Giuseppe, and the late Rosa Alagna

Hello again Joseph,
You have been so helpful I am turning directly to you for more help.
Can you please help me find any information on Antonio Borra (born 18 April 1901, not sure where, I think Italy), and died 21 June 1979 in Cuneo, Italy. He was a carbinieri. Any information on his wife, Maria Manzo, born 23 Feb. 1905 (not sure where, I think Italy) and died 24 Jan. 1981 also in Cuneo, would be fantastic... Middle names, where they were from, parents' names, etc. please. Anything?
I have their daughter Guiseppina Giacohina Maria Borra's birth certificate (born 28 Apri1926 in Benevagienna, Italy), marriage license (married 8 July 1945 to Ceasar Ferrari), and death dates 2 July 1980 in Wisconsin, USA. I have written the commune in Benevagienna but have not heard anything back.
I am attaching what I have. Thank you again!

Oh, if you don't mind, I do have a couple other questions Joseph, please. You got me so excited about my ancestry again by helping fill in holes I have renewed energy for research! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
I cannot find Publio Ferrari's draft record (born 1886 in Verona) on the link you shared above. Not sure what I am doing wrong...Can you please resend the link/attach the document? I'd love to have that.
I did change Rosina Lomonaco's (born 1888 in Sicily) father to Girolamo Lomonaco, on my tree as you suggested. O knew Giralamo was Rosina's father but needed some kind of documentation. Thank you for that. I originally had Geralamo listed as Cecilia Perniciaro's (born 1866 in Sicily) other husband, in addition to Cecilia's "first" husband Pietro Giacolone. I'm assuming that my Cecilia Perniciaro is correct, and that she may have married twice? Also, I have been searching for Giralamo Lomonaco connections long before I reached out to the group. No matches to Rosina or Rosa born 1888 in Sicily though... Can you please point me in the right direction to find out any birth or death dates for Girolamo or where he was born, his parent's names, etc.?
I apologize if I am overwhelming you and understand if you don't have the time to help answer all my questions. I am grateful for anything. :)

It is good that you have birthdates for Antonio Borra and Maria Manzo. Presumably they would have been born or married in Bene Vagienna since that's where the daughter was born. Unfortunately though, the civil records for Bene Vagienna are only online up to 1900, before your ancestors were born. Therefore, the only way to proceed would be to request birth and/or marriage certificates from the Comune of Bene Vaggiena. If the comune doesn't reply to you, there are services for document retrieval you can consider. Alternatively, it may be possible to request baptisms/marriages from the parish church of Bene Vaggiena, but they are even less likely to reply.
It's very likely they are all from Bene Vaggiena because the surnames Borra and Manzo are well represented there. See: https://www.cognomix.it/mappe-dei-cognomi-italiani/BORRA/PIEMONTE/CUNEO and https://www.cognomix.it/mappe-dei-cognomi-italiani/MANZO/PIEMONTE/CUNEO
For Publio Ferrari's draft record, it's here (1886 draft list) on page 146: https://archiviostorico.comune.verona.it/LEVA_VERONA/ACVR_2141_300.pdf
To do the research in Mazara del Vallo, you will need to consult the original civil records of birth/marriage/death, all available on Antenati. See: http://dl.antenati.san.beniculturali.it/v/Archivio+di+Stato+di+Trapani Without an actual marriage for Girolamo and Cecilia, it is impossible to know their parents. I would not assume your Cecilia married twice either without an actual record. In fact, because they were both living in Genoa in 1908 with their daughter, it's very likely they never returned to Sicily. Many Sicilians migrated North for opportunities during the early 1900s.
I recommend studying the birth records in Mazara del Vallo for the years preceding 1888 to look for siblings, and once you've figured out the oldest sibling, it should be easy enough to find the marriage record in the year or two preceding that.
