FamilySearch

Re: "Temple & Family History Consultant", either, Stake/District; or, Unit (ie. Ward/Branch).
.
And, 'work with' "Family History Network".
.
Question:
.
Should a "Temple and Family History Consultant", either, Stake/District; or, Unit (ie. Ward/Branch), be able to see 'themselves', in the particular 'work with' (ie. "https://www.familysearch.org/ask/planner/workwith") "Family History Network", where they are 'Called'?
.
Background:
.
The reason I ask this question, is that, although my 'Calling' is, reasonably well, set-up correctly with regard to the various Membership "Systems", I do not see 'myself' displayed in the particular 'work with' "Family History Network", where I am are 'Called'; whereas, I see other "Temple and Family History Consultants".
.
Comment (Perceived "Fault"/"Flaw"):
.
If it is by "Design", that a "Temple and Family History Consultant", either, Stake/District; or, Unit (ie. Ward/Branch), is NOT able to see 'themselves', in the particular 'work with' (ie. "https://www.familysearch.org/ask/planner/workwith") "Family History Network", where they are 'Called'; then, personally, I (like others) perceive that to be a "Fault"/"Flaw" (NOT an Enhancement) that needs addressing/fixing ASAP.
.
I suggest and believe that "Temple and Family History Consultants", either, Stake/District; or, Unit (ie. Ward/Branch), in their own right, SHOULD be able to see 'themselves', included in the particular 'work with' (ie. "https://www.familysearch.org/ask/planner/workwith") "Family History Network", where they are 'Called', along with all the other "Temple and Family History Consultants" so 'Called'.
.
Postscript:
.
This matter was also raised in a previous post in the "FamilySearch ( "GetSatisfaction" ) 'Feedback' Forum, some 6 Months ago, the 'link' is to the Last "Reply" in that post is:
.
Notification about newly called temple and family history consultants in our stake.
.
.
Submitted for your information; consideration; and, attention,
.
'Thank You' in advance.

I'm not sure what you are looking for. When I click on the link you provide it takes me to Helper Resources (old or new version, whichever I choose to use). Where are you expecting to see your name appear? Can you post a screen shot of what you see and point out where you are looking to see your name appear?

@Brett . When you click the Network link in Helper Resources, you see OTHER consultants--not yourself. It is designed to provide you with information as to others who serve on the same level as you as well as those who serve one level higher than you. This helps you know both who you can collaborate with and who can provide help to you.

My post deals with a "Family History Network" that exists within "FamilySearch" listing a 'Temple and Family History Consultant's' local "Temple and Family History Consultants" - ie. Area; Stake/District; and, Unit (ie. Ward/Branch).
.
If you are a "Temple and Family History Consultant" try this URL: https://www.familysearch.org/ask/planner/workwith
.
I hope this help.

The lack of consistency (or, should I say, inconsistency) in "FamilySearch" is such a bother.
.
On the top level Menu (on the right-hand-side of the page/screen), there is the "Help" option, that reveals a 'Drop Down' Menu, where there is the "Contact Us" option, on that page/screen, for Member Users/Patrons, is the list of ('Local') "My Temple and Family History Consultants" where the 'Temple and Family History Consultant's' sees themselves listed with all the other available 'Temple and Family History Consultants'.
.
Whereas, on the "Family History Network" page/screen the 'Temple and Family History Consultant' DOES NOT see themselves listed, in the particular 'work with' "Family History Network", where they are 'Called'.
.
The particular "Family History Network" where the 'Temple and Family History Consultant' is 'Called" does have the preceding word of "Other".
.
But, to me it is the the lack of consistency (or inconsistency) in "FamilySearch", rather than logic, that I find bothersome.
.
Either, you appear on, both; or, neither, certainly NOT on one and not the other.
.
And, in any case, seeing your name listed with the other 'Temple and Family History Consultants' within your particular network promotes a sense of team spirit, to some degree - ie. 'You' are part of the "Family History Network".
.
So, I still maintain that "Temple and Family History Consultants", either, Stake/District; or, Unit (ie. Ward/Branch), in their own right, SHOULD be able to see 'themselves', included in the particular 'work with' "Family History Network", where they are 'Called', along with all the other "Temple and Family History Consultants" so 'Called'.
.
And, I am supported by another regular participant in the "FamilySearch ( "GetSatisfaction" ) 'Feedback' Forum (from 6 Months ago).
.
So, it is not just me.
.
We definitely need to promote a sense of team spirit, to some degree - ie. 'You' are part of the "Family History Network".

I agree Brett. I have been working with my ward clerk and my stake clerk for over a year to have not only me, but all my consultants show up in either list. I found out that now they have a Ward Family History Consultant in the drop down list that the clerk can choose from. I still can’t get my clerk to do it. when people in the ward want to know who the consultants are ( under callings/ Family History, they only see one. My name (as lead) isn’t even there because I have a stake calling. I can’t see my name in the (work with) area either.

I am glad to know it is not just me. I couldn't see my name either. I thought maybe since I used to be lead, somehow my calling was dropped not changed

This question and the responses have been very difficult for me to understand.
When I am in FamilySearch and click on Help>Contact Us I see a list of all the consultants in my ward, including me.
When I click on Help>Helper Resources>Your Calling then under item 2 Learn from a Helper it gives a list of stake leaders (other than myself).
I have no issue with either list.
When I copied the link given in the original question
https://www.familysearch.org/ask/planner/workwith
I see a boxes and an organizational structure. The area consultant is not listed (even though we have one). My coworkers at the stake level are listed (but not me). Under my ward no consultants are listed. I see of no way to follow a path to get to this site. My conclusion is that it is a developmental one (or abandoned) and is not actually published at this time.

You might talk to your ward clerk and make sure they have your calling as a ward consultant. When you go to LDS tools on your phone, is your calling a consultant? I am an area consultant, and my name didn't come up until a couple weeks ago when a counselor in the bishopric added that as my calling. I just checked, and my name is on the list. If you click on Help and then Getting Started, over on the right hand side is a list of Local Help. It shows you three names, and then you select show more under the last name, and all the names will show up. Let me know if that works for you.

I just reread your question. I was going to delete my post, but didn't see a way to do it. You are right, on the link you posted to the consultant planner workwith, my name doesn't appear, but it does under the Help!!

ps: By the way, everything is in "Development", very fluid, nothing is set in 'concrete'; so, if we want a change/enhancement we need to say so - hence, this question and suggestion of a perceived "Fault"/"Flaw".

You can see this is not an abandoned site by going to "Help" > "Helper Resources", then scroll to "Family History Network". Here you will see resources within Your FH network that you can contact for help or with your questions (in my case my Area Resources, my coworkers with other stake callings resources and ward T&FH consultants resources are listed). You don't see your own name listed because this is intended to just provide resources you can turn to for help etc (it wold not make sense for you to be listed as a resource for yourself). If a coworker in your stake viewed this, they would see your name listed but not their own name. Hope that helps a bit.

Interesting.
.
There has been NO response from any "Official 'FamilySearch' Representative" to:
.
(1) this "Question" in the "Group" ( 'All Temple & Family History Consultants' ) of this "Community.FamilySearch" Forum;
.
and/or,
.
(2) the corresponding "Post" in the "FamilySearch" ( "GetSatisfaction" ( 'Feedback' ) Forum,

on this matter.
.
The 'silence is deafening'.
