Hi @Gail Craigie Gibbs Bit roundabout but I had a go at doing it. 1. Change sex to Female. 2. Copy the ID of the "father". 3. Remove "Father" from child. 4. Go to Child's person page. 5. Add the ID back and it will now appear as the mother.
If anyone has a simpler way, would love to hear it. Kind Regards, Inge.

In this case I would send a request to FamilySearch and explain the problem. I could find no helps for this issue. If she had been just added, you could have deleted her and reentered the information correctly. As it is, sources have been added etc.and deletion is not allowed.
She was a single mother and maybe the person who entered her was confused about how to handle a situation with no father known. You can tell from the changes that there was some confusion in adding both her and her daughter.
Click on the question mark in upper right corner, choose Contact Us and fill out the form and send it in.
They should be able to take care of it.

@Carole McIntyre Hi Carole. Can you check my answer just above yours. It seemed to work ok.

I submitted a case for the same problem, and received the following answer, which solved the problem simply.
"You've identified a place where the husband and wife need to be switched. You can click on the circle with the question mark at the top of the FamilySearch screen and click Help Center and search for "switch spouse positions." The article tells you to click on the little pencil between the couple. When the flyout comes up go down and click on Switch Spouse Positions.and this should make it correct. "
I will look up a shortcut to the article and post later.

That was exciting to hear, I immediately went to a couple in FamilySearch and looked for that option. Does it only show up sometimes? I had no such option under tools. It must have worked for her because she is now corrected. Thank you for the information.

I can imagine (without reading the article) that if people had temple ordinances conducted for them with gender-specific ordinances, it might not be so easy to swap positions/genders. But I'm speculating...

As long as you haven't added any sources you can do this. Once you add a source it won't let you change the gender. Then you have to disconnect or delete and add her in again. At least that's how that worked last year.
