I hope some of you were able to participate in the 27-Day Family History Scavenger Hunt that I posted previously. It was supposed to be a 30-day scavenger hunt but we had a pipe burst and I missed a few days trying to clean up the mess. This month I have started a new project. I plan on developing a series of Virtual Family History Escape Rooms. These escape rooms will help walk the participants through the life of an individual while looking for clues in various record sets. I have my first one completed and it explores the mystery of my great-grandfather's birth date using the WWI and WWII draft cards, his birth register and some interesting newspaper articles about his life. You can try it out at https://forms.gle/idJDPnsdXPTkZcWK6 and provide feedback if you successfully complete it. These activities can be used for Family Home Evening or just to have fun while learning about records.

Thank you for sharing @Miles A Meyer! I thought this escape room was really quite fun and did a great job of teaching people how to read a variety of documents. The word Escape Room can seem intimidating, but this isn't at all. It is a great way to get family involved and have some fun without being discouraged.

Thanks, glad you had fun. I will be starting the next one exploring the trek across the country for one of my wife's ancestors today. Hopefully those who participate will be able to make it all the way from Ohio to Oregon without getting lost.

I have added another Family History Escape Room. This one follows my wife's ancestor across the country as he moves from Ohio to Oregon during the mid 1800s. https://forms.gle/6VHm8TKjRjBSTyVG8

@Miles A Meyer I am loving these! When you are a good point of having a few of these put together, would you be willing to put them into a drive - or a page link in your website - so we can have an link on the side to go to when needed? Only if you are comfortable with that.

Is it okay to share the links to these escape rooms?

Yes, feel free to share them. Hopefully I will get some time to do more later.
