Personalized offerings are useful to advertisers who want to boost engagement with their media, but it tends to isolate us into bubbles. When you leave your home, the world is not personalized to your tastes or task list. You have to pick your way through it and, in doing so, you learn and you accommodate yourself to it and to others. PLEASE do not limit us in our genealogical research by only offering personalized widgets. They might hinder us if we find that part of our tree is mistaken or if we discover unknown information that changes the truth of our tree.
