Adding additional people not suggested in a document

Source Linker is only equipped to work with indexed data, and godparents/witnesses are almost never indexed.

To attach a source to people mentioned in a document who aren't part of the index, you can either copy one of the index entries to your Source Box and attach that copy, or you can attach the image or a link to it, bypassing the index. If the person does not yet have a profile, you'll need to create one using the "normal" steps (such as "+Add Parent" or "+Add Spouse" on an existing profile's Details page). If you save the source to your Source Box, then you can attach instances of it to multiple profiles, so you only need to do the data entry once.

As for not being able to use your computer: I suggest starting with updating your browser(s). FS commits to making things work in the "big 4" (Firefox, Chrome, Edge, Safari) in the current and previous versions of those browsers. If you use a version older than that, things may still work for a while, but eventually, you'll come up against something that the old browser can't do.

What are you trying to do with this comment? Can you tell me which link you cannot attach?

Very often you will find other connected family and identifiable folks in a record. Only the primary and sometimes secondary people will be indexed (and SourceLinkable).
It is always good to review the image for these extended people, and when identified, add the vitals information to their FS details page. You can reference the source in the reasons box; but having more complete information from any good source in the details page of a person will enable the algorithms to then find more sources for that person. I do this back and forth from Ancestry to FS; (Ancestry programming slightly different than FS, and pulls up different records and collections). After entering the vitals information into FS — more often than not, FS will find 3/4 of the same records for SourceLinker.
