Very helpful, thanks!
Is there a clipboard history that we can access? That is a feature I use a lot on a Windows computer.

It looks like page 4 might have a backside to it (at the bottom it says "over") Will you post that as well?

I too would like to see the back page of Notification 4

Jamie Anderson put together these very helpful Chrome OS guidelines last spring: Launcher, Files App, Screen Capture, USB Storage, Uploading Files to FS Memories, Modifying Images, Etc.

Clipboard History
To: Jaelene Starr
I haven't tried this, Jaelene. Please let me know if it works.
Hi User 3467650283489611442
The key-combination Launcher + v will show a list of your available clipboard history from which you can choose.

Can we get the Google Drive links for all six contributions from Brad Debow? The linked docs print nicer than the .jpg files

Can we add a clipboard app to the ChromeOS wish list?
The suggestion above only relates to a list of browsing history.

As far as I know, Jaelene, there is no formal Wish List for Chrome OS Flex. Sounds like a good idea though.
You may have seen this comment before, Jaelene. It concerns a clipboard manager. See the last paragraph of a Comment, dated 12/2/2024, above:
On a related issue, I had a question about the clipboard. On a Chrome-OS machine the last
five items stored to the clipboard can be called up by pressing + v. This shortcut is
shown on the “Key Shortcuts” list discussed above. However, this is another shortcut that is
inoperable on our Chrome-OS Flex machines. Only the last item copied (Ctrl-C) can be
pasted (Ctrl-V). The previous five items stored on a Chrome-OS machine are not retained on
our Chrome-OS Flex machines.0 -
To put photos in Google Docs on ChromeOS, follow these steps:
- Open your Google Docs document.
- Click on the "Insert" tab at the top of the window.
- Select "Image" from the dropdown menu.
- Choose the source of your image: You can upload from your computer, Google Drive, Photos, or search the web for an image.
- Select the image you want to insert and click "Open" or "Insert" to add it to your document.
Once the image is inserted, you can resize and reposition it as needed.

To use Alt character codes in Google Docs on a ChromeOS computer, follow these steps:
- Open Google Docs and create or open a document.
- Press
Ctrl
+Shift
+U
on your keyboard. You should see an underlined "u" appear. - Type the Alt character code for the symbol you want to insert. For example, to insert an em-dash, you would type
2014
. - Press
Enter
. The code should convert to the corresponding symbol in your document.

Dear Brother Richins,
It seems you are using a different word processing program than is provided on the Chrome Flex OS computers at the Rexburg FamilySearch Center. We do not have a version of Google docs! and the word processor provided doesn't have the "insert" tab that you mentioned in your instruction. Attached is our screen. Notice it never says anything in the URL about Google docs. It does state "Office Editing for Docs, Sheets & Slides." It seems Office is not Google as you have assumed.
Warm regards,
Joy Peck

Dear Brother Richins,
Concerning our desire to use ascii codes on the Google Chrome Flex computers that are provided at the Rexburg FamilySearch Center, I have tried three different keyboards, as you instructed. I checked one of the keyboards on an old Lenovo computer and it created the desired character using the correct code. Not one of the keyboards were able to create ASCII code characters anywhere on our Google Chrome Flex computers. The Ctrl-Shift-U you mentioned did create an underlined "u" in the word doc program provided, but was unable to create it in this comment box.
I would advise you to get a Google Chrome Flex OS computer with the same setup that we are using so you might be able to accurately address our concerns.
Yours truly,
Joy Peck
