In this case, I have some difficulty reading the Latin text completely - but the gist of the record is clear:
On February 14, 1724 were married Georg Miller with Anna Wagner. Witnesses were Andreas Wagner and Johannes Waller, all from Graisbach.

Sorry, Doris, I don't know if Valentine's Day was considered a special day for weddings.

I would guess that Valentine's Day is a fairly modern affair, at least in Germany - although the origins can be traced back to Saint Valentine from early Christianity. It first became known in Germany when American soldiers were stationed there after World War II.

Hello @DorisMiller1,
In my research I've noticed many weddings took place on Tuesday after banns were announced on the three preceding Sundays.

Thanks Robert. Do you know if they would have chosen Valentines Day as a special day to get married?

I always thought the Valentines Day was just a Hallmark created holiday to get you to buy their cards…
