Is it possible to also have a change log option that only feature a PID name and number.
If several editors are working on the same tree but want to quickly assess persons who were recently changed, a full change log per each individual changed in that space is a lot to scroll through if the group of editors is trying to track individuals who have been changed. Is it possible to have the "short list" too? Or the "short list" and then all editors can see what changes were made when they go to the person page? How do others feel about this?

Marge, If you enter your CET, click on any individual in the tree and go to the person page for that individual, you will see a "Latest Changes" box on the right hand side. This is a list of all the changes that have happened on the single person.
Incidentally, if you have multiple people doing research in your tree and you just want to see all the tree people you were last working on, not all those the other researchers were working on, there is a filter tool that is available on the "Show All" screen accessible from the bottom left of the tree change-log on the Tree Details page. You can filter the big list of every tree person changed by anyone down to just the tree people changed by a specific user.0 -
I spoke with Marge in more detail and I now understand what is being asked for. Let me summarize as best I can for validation.
Rather than list every change ever made to every person in a running list, what would be more helpful would be to just list the tree person's name, and maybe PID and a little vital info, collapse all the changes on a person into an expansion. That way the change-log isn't cluttered with 5 changes on Emily, but rather Emily shows up in the change log once and she can be expanded to see the 5 changes on Emily. If a person is changed, that person should pop to the top of the person list and the new change should be added to the list of changes under that person's expansion.
Did I get that right? Are there other requests?0 -
Thank you for helping us test the CET. This is one of the "coming soon" features.
Again, thank you for your feedback.

The change to the tree-based changelog listing all edits made in the entire tree, which is present on the tree details page, is designed and on the engineering work list. When delivered, it is anticipated to function as outlined above in my Jul 23 post. It is currently scheduled for delivery before the end of the year, but there are several items of higher priority that may cause it to deliver after the holidays.
We greatly appreciate all the user feedback that will allow us to redesign this feature to make it much more usable for all.-Robert
