Population records Belgium
hello everyone,
I thank Ruth for the warm welcome in the group. The support-eu team advised me to join you, because may be someone would know a status about the Belgian population records?
Is Familysearch still working to add them back to the catalog?
Speciifically, the village of Beuzet would be very helpful, I am trying to find out when the Delsipée family left the village around 1850.
Short introduction: my name is Cecile Sarlet, with a completely French speaking ascendance and Dutch speaking descendance. I made the family trees of my children and grandchildren, but now I am mainly working on Belgians that emigrated to Wisconsin in the 19th century.
I hope we can help each other from time to time!
Cecile

As these catalogues were basically absent, i took the liberty of checking out the near environment at the location Beuzet via Google maps,as places change name or dissolve and merge into other town.Looking on the map,"Beuzet", it shows that the town of Bovesse, about one finger size down the n4 road is next to it , and importantly ; if i check for the name Delsipée at Beuzet in the Belgian Rijksarchief, there are only very few hits—, but there are a great many more for Bovesse, above 100 hits.So you could find (many)more Delsipée's in Bovessen, many could be related. So the next problem in the query…the catalogue is also absent for bovesse, altough via the old pictures archive , i found some good examples for the name, i will place the link here.⇒
