Hi just wondering if anyone can edit a name as one is misspelled relating to my mother? Thank you

Whether a spelling can be corrected depends entirely on where you are seeing the name.
If it is:
- in a historical record database that can be edited and the record is indexed incorrectly, any user, including you, can edit the name.
- in a historical record database that can be edited but the record is indexed correctly because the original record contains the misspelling, then in the interest of historically accuracy it really shouldn't be edited in my opinion.
- in a historical record database that cannot be edited, then no on can.
- in Family Tree and she is deceased, any user, including you, can edit the name.
- in Family Tree, she is living, and you are in your set of living people, then only you can edit the name.
- in Family Tree, she is living, and you are looking at some other user's set of living people, then only that user can edit the name.
- in Family Tree, she is living, and you are seeing this in a shared family group set of living, then any member of that group can edit the name.
- in one of the pedigrees in the Genealogies section, then no one can edit the name.
For a more specific answer, you will have to post exactly, preferably with a link, where you are seeing the misspelling.
