Unable to see/Invite Member in Family Group
When my father logs into Family Search and goes to Family Groups, he is not part of any Family Group (it asks is he wants to create one).
I am the admin of the Wilson Family Family Group).
https://www.familysearch.org/groups/family/MMMM-PM3/activities). When I go to invite David, it says to the right of his name ("Group Member"), while other individuals not in the Family Group has the "Invite" button. When I go the listing of the Group Members, he is not on the list. I contacted Family Search and was on the phone with them for about an hour on Friday. They said that I needed to post my bug here.

This is the right place for you to post! Thank you. We need a little more information from you. Can you tell us what operating system and browser you are using. Also, what process did you use to invite David? Did you send the invitation from a mobile app or from a browser? Please also check to see if you have inadvertently linked the wrong person to the wrong name (I can see from your images that you have a couple of similar names). If you are able to retrace these steps for us, it will help immensely in figuring out what caused this bug to occur.

I am using an iMac macOS version Sonoma 14.4.1. I am using Chrome version 123.0.6312.124 (Official Build) (x86_64). I invited David probably over 6-8 months ago. I don't remember if I did it on my computer or tried to invite him from my Apple iphone via the family search app. I created the Family Group (over 8 months ago) . I think I have it linked to the right person. I had copied David (Private individual) from the family search tree to my Wilson Family Group Tree. My Mom also had a version of David too that she copied in and we had to merge them in the Family Group Tree as well. Let me know if you need more information.

Is there any possibility that David is using a different account now that he was using previously when you invited him?

From the short video, the process of creating my tree was easy and copying individuals into it. But then I looked for how to invite others to join, and it was not clear to me how to do that. Think it should perhaps be more prominent on the initial screen.
(10 Minutes later). Found it under the menu. My comment still seems right.
Additionally, I hope you are already working on new features for managing the invites to people. I have four children with three spouses and goofed up the pasting the individual invitations into the right emails. This could grow to include serious email lists management sets of features for significant groups.
To be positive though, I noted I am missing three grandchildren not created in my small family. This feature is SO NEEDED! Thank you for envisioning this.

Anne, you asked: Is there any possibility that David is using a different account now that he was using previously when you invited him?
I don't think that his account has ever changed.

@Michael G. Wilson Did this ever get sorted out? Is David able to view the tree now?

One of my family members experienced after I sent them a group invite. When they went to the labs area and joined the family group experimental lab it resolved their problem.

There have been several updates to the system since this error was discovered and this issue should have been resolved. If you find that this issue is still recurring please open a new post in this group.
