How can group members see the group tree?

Did you actually create a family group with a tree? Or just a regular family group?
If you did not go to https://www.familysearch.org/labs/ , click Try It in the Family Groups square, then click "Turn on Early Access," then you have not turned on the group tree function. In that situation, when you click on Create Group, you see this:
If you did turn on early access, this pop up changes to:
And you must turn on the option to work in a family group tree. It is off when the pop up opens.
If you forgot to do that, I'm pretty sure you have to start over.

I did all of that, which is why I'm confused.

Then I'm afraid I have no idea what it going on. Since we users can't see into each other's groups to see what is really going on, it really limits how much other community members can help with troubleshooting. I hope someone with administrative rights to see all living or someone on the development team can help you figure out what is wrong. If you know someone that is really good with all this that you can share your helper number with and the helper number of someone in your group so your helper can view your group from both view points, if a helper can even do that, maybe that would be a way to get things sorted out.

I thought of one other thing you could try to troubleshoot things. Have someone you invited sign into Family Search. Have the person click on the account icon in the upper corner to open that drop down menu:
Clicking there should bring them to this page showing the groups they are in:
When that person clicks on your group with the shared tree, the page should look like this:
If it does not, particularly if the View Tree button is missing, then something went wrong when creating the group and you should just start over.

I believe all group members who want to participate in the Group Tree have to go to Labs and click on "Try It." That has been the case in my groups.

A new invite link turns on the experiment for the person invited. If are using an existing group each member will need to opt-in through www.familysearch.org/labs to see all the new options.
