Birthplace information for Friedrich Mack and siblings
This is my basic information about my ancestor. I did not manage to find any older information that would lead me further. How to get that data?

Hi,
Is there any further info of the general area your ancestors might have come from?

Greetings Christine.
Unfortunetly, I didn`t find any informtion about where it came from. Althoug there is a hint in book of deaths that he was a parishioner, which should mean that he was born in Petrovaradin, but I could not find any information about him, his siblings or parents in any church book. Frankly, Friedrich was not a common name in Petrovaradin in those years (read: there are none). The only Friedrich I found was an illegitimate child but his last name was not Mack. I had that in mind, but where did he get his last name?
The only person with the same last name that I found in the deceased books is Joannes Mack from Taubach, Franconia, died in Petrovaradin in year 1779. But information about him is that he dies as unmarried. And there is not a single connection between them.
That's why I was thinking how to get information about military service in the Austrian Monarchy from the end of the 18th century, because it should be there next to his name and where he is from.
Yes, another important piece of information - the estimated year of Friedrich's birth is 1775 (+/- 5) because in the death register from 1833 it was written that he died at the age of approx. 58

Hi,
These documents seem to be from Petrovaradin (Peterwardein). Is this something you might be looking for? (Mind you, I've never done any research in that field before, so it may be nothing and you might know it anyways.)

Thank you Christine
This is the list of artillerymen of the Petrovaradin regiment.
I will list the names to see if there is any information about Friedrich, but I strongly doubt that he was an artilleryman. I would rather say an infantryman. Because in his later life he was just an ordinary peasant - agricola.
It would be nice to find maybe a list of infantrymen in Petrovaradin. In any case, thanks again.
Regards, Marijan
