Could anyone translate the third entry down for Johann Georg Hochtel. I know that his mother is Eva Barbara Hochtel.

I know he was born in Germany. This may be a birth record or a baptism record. Thank-you.

It's a bit blurry, it would be nice to see the entire record. It becomes easier to look for similar letters or patterns from the scribe. This is a birth and baptism record. Tauf Register

Johann Georg looks more like HAchtel, it looks like he may have been a third child.

The third, fourth and fifth column, are small and blurry, I can pick out only a few things, and it looks like the scribe just wrote in sentences across the three columns. There appears to be the date of 1833, day worker Georg Michael could be Fischer, and then I am lost. The column for the mother is a little bit better,

? the still single daughter of ? day worker Regie(?) Hachtel from Faülenberg (?)

birth date: Monday 2 (?) of May 1853, 8 am

baptism date: Saturday May 7, 1853

    Godparent: Johann Georg Fischer ?

Without knowing where this record is from, it is difficult to use a gazetteer to confirm locations. Please don't forget to post where you found the record, and to upload the entire image.

Thank-you for the information that you were able to ascertain up to this point. That was my first time posting so I wasn't aware to post where I got the record and the entire image. I will try and add that the next time I post. Thank-you

@Debbie Elaine Crouse  no worries, it's a process, sometimes records are blurry, and very, very hard to read. It's amazing they've survived, and we get to figure out what they say. Well done on uploading!
