Translation Question Dutch to English (Ronsmans)
I'm wondering if I can get clarification part of the record that describes where the mother, Mathilde Vandermotten was born. I'm reading that she was born and lives in Oud-Heverlee and then it says she was born and lives in Leuven. Am I misinterpreting that?
The record is the the top & left record:
Here's my overall translation of the record:
In the year 1882, on December 28th at 1pm before Jean Philippe Vanderheyden, mayor, civil servant of the municipality Oud-Heverlee, Arrondissment Loven (Leuven), Province Brabant, appeared Guillaume Franciscus Ronsmans, 24 years old, day laborer, born and lives in Oud-Heverlee, presents a male child who was born in his wife’s house yesterday at 4pm to him and his wife, Mathilde Vandermotten, housekeeper, 23 years old, living here and born in Leuven. The couple declare to name the child Ferdinandus. The following witnessed this declaration – Henricius Vanmeerbech, 27 years old, blacksmith, lives in Oud-Heverlee and Philippus Poels, 49 years old, farmer and lives in Oud-Heverlee. After reading the presented deed, they all signed.

Remarkable to notice it. Yes, the scribe makes a wrong assumption to declare born and living here (alhier),but corrects himself in the same sentence by saying "Ik zeg" :/ and the follows Leuven as place of birth and living. Alhier is an old term for here, and I say (ik zeg) can be interpreted as ,...I the law speaks.Very good translate but these templates are only partially handwritten and by the grace of this you can see the template.
The name of him is Guilielmus btw, not Guillaume. Famsearch has his Marriage-certificate,and that is a full handwritten doc;no need to translate its entirety, you can peel out the elements of focus.I will post it here, directly to the page, and in the next post i will show the link to the site i used to locate this one.

Okay, the site i used to find the above is called 'Open Archives', and is Dutch, but does contain massive amounts of Belgian data, for obvious reasons. In the link shown, you can see data about the family and hyperlinks, but also the term/scan with some icons,(if) scans are availiable they are shown as small icons, can be on other sites. When you use this one here it will lift you to page 194 of the catalogue, ...but use the arrows left above image section to browse up to page 195 as the pages-nrs are often wrong by some or more pages.
I would advise you to test the site Openarch toroughly to get it in your fingers.
