Trying to hit a moving target with autofill choices
As I start to type a date or location in Edit mode, the choice list first appears above, then switches to below, then switches above and so on. Its placement is not static. More than once, it's switched while I'm moving the cursor to click on my selection. I really don't want to play whack-a-mole while working on the site. This is very distracting! Is it possible to have the autofill choice list appear in one location only and stay put while we work?
TIA!

Lisa, I'm not experiencing this problem. To make sure I'm understanding where you're doing the edit, here's what I did. I went to the Tree view, clicked on an individual, opened their person page, and tried to make a sample change in both a birth date as well as the birth location. The window that included that edit page nearly filled my screen vertically, and there was no movment of the choices available for the standardized place in the birth place edit. I also entered a non-standard date for the birth date for this test, and it merely gave me the standardized date entry format. Again, nothing moved.
I happen to be using a Dell desktop with a widescreen monitor (2560x1080 display resolution) with the Windows 10 22H2 operating system, and the most updated version of Firefox (v112.0) as my browser. I used the new Person Page for this test.
For the engineers/programmers, you might want to include what operating system you're using and what browser, as well as whether you're on a laptop or desktop, or a tablet or phone making these changes, just in case there's a device or software-specific issue they can identify.

I'm using a PC laptop, 14" screen, Windows 10, Firefox browser, latest version. The screen is smaller, side to side and top to bottom than a normal monitor but I'm sure I'm not the only person to rely on a laptop and not a desk top with separate monitor so I would hope that the engineers take this set-up into consideration.
I'll try to be quick enough to do a screen capture to show what I mean.
FYI, I never dealt with this in the retired version.

I'm not able to do a screen capture. The pop-up window goes away each time I try to do that.
I'm adding a spouse, filling in all the information in the pop-up window. This may be happening because the fields for birth and death information are so low on the screen with no way to shift it farther up; the pull-down menu flips from above to below and back again, repeatedly. It's bloody annoying.

The movement's much too quick to capture, but I can do a series of screenshots. This is on the Add Spouse popup, where I'm trying to enter South Australia as a birthplace.
And so forth and so on. It's quite disconcerting to be typing along and have the list flash back and forth between above and below where I'm typing.
I have a 3840x2160 monitor on a Win10 laptop.

I suspect this has not come up before because, at least for me using Safari or Firefox, it is very dependent on window height and is probably not specifically designed in but is rather a browser default. It would be good if this behavior can be overridden. I couldn't get it to happen with a birth place, but adding that South Australia while adding a spouse brought it out pretty quickly.

It is annoying. @lyleblunttoronto1 can this go on the list of things to be fixed?

I'll see what we can do. Having it move on mouse over is very interesting behavior.
