Edit a person from Pedigree View

I'm curious as to what you mean here. Are you saying that you would like to edit directly in that side panel instead of going to the person's detail page?
We can add new information directly on that pedigree page by clicking on the add links:
Are you wanting to have clicking on any of the existing information likewise open the editing pop-up just like is does on the Person Detail page?
The downside of that is that you don't have access to the source page to see where the existing information came from so that if the information has not been tagged properly you can't see why the existing information is correct and the information you were going to change it to is not.
That is actually a problem with adding new information. Since the first thing you should do after adding new information is go to the source page and add a source for that information, you still need to leave here and go to the Person pages.

In the old pedigree view, if you clicked on the name of the person it would open up a Popup. Then you have to click the "Person" link to get to the Detail page.
In the new pedigree view when you click the name, it opens the side panel. Then you must move the mouse to the "View Person" link and click again.
It would get nice (and quicker) if a double click of the name would open the Person Detail Page.
In my FamilySearch work, I always check the details and sources to make sure they are correct and make sense.

That would be nice. That is how names work in the new Person Detail pages in the Family Members section. You don't even need to move to the summary pop-up. Click on the name twice and you jump that person's page without moving the cursor at all.
Or at lease you could until tonight. I just checked and that function is not working right now.
