Clarification on Czech Map & House numbering
My ancestor was born at Predmístí 115, Březnice.
Looking at the old maps on Mapy.cz. - is it fair to assume, this would have been the location of there house? The current house looks newer, but could it be original? Thank you.

"Předměstí" means something like... In front of a town. Something you would call a suburban area now.
The location on the map "Za Cihelnou 115" is a modern street name. Za cihelnou means "behind a brick factory".
Sure, the house number matches but... What year is this from? Houses were completely renumbered in Czechoslovakia in the 1920s from what I know, new streets were created and renamed multiple times throughout history, houses were demolished, some places even renumbered their houses again and again and they are completely different now than for example in the 1930 Czechoslovakia census.
So yeah, could happen that the house number stayed the same but in my opinion it's more likely that this is not the same house.
Maybe someone else can give an opinion as well.
