Unfortunately the images don't post 😯

Regarding why the images aren't showing:
If you post a request with images attached, I've been told that if you immediately edit the post the images will not appear and will remain in "limbo." So it's a good idea to wait some time, then go back and review your post to be sure the images have appeared. Then if it's necessary to edit your post, you can do so after you have confirmed that the images have appeared.

This seems to be only partly correct, @Robert Seal_1 : if you edit immediately this problem will occur - but it can also occur "automatically". I had the case that within less than 60 seconds my post was "edited" by some algorithm (or server problem - I hadn't done anything!) and images didn't show. Images were not the problem, however - posted the same again an hour later - worked without problem. I reported it - took 6 days to be corrected ... easier: just re-post.

@Gailroberts We have been having issues with images loading recently. Try uploading them one at a time in separate comments. This seems to work most of the time. Sam 😊

Apparently there are a number of reasons why the images get "hung up".

@Sam Sulser There is another possibility (a bit more time consuming - but more "readable"): in my case mentioned above there were several images; in the second attempt I have posted the text first - with only a single image; then waited for at least ten minutes ... edited and added the second image ... and so on. My reason for this procedure: I wanted to find out if one of my images caused the problem - in the end this was not the case 😁.
I am not sure if I ever had problems with posts containing only a single image.

@WSeelentag Interesting! The engineers are trying to get this fixed but I know they have been a bit baffled by this one. Sam 🙄
