Accessing record in Familysearch

I looked all over the Familysearch site and could not find an answer. Perhaps someone here can answer. I know exactly where a record I need is located but the film is not accessible online. I was thinking I had heard that there was a way to contact the FHL and someone could possibly find that record and email a copy. Is that a possibility and if so how do I make such a request? THANKS
